Its high protein content is what makes it special and has given it its name: 55er - short, concise and to the point! It impresses with its high quality and contains only what is important in a first-class protein bar: up to 55% protein, less than 5 g fat and less than 1 g net carbohydrates per bar, without artificial vitamins or other additives.

The milk protein contained in the 55 is naturally released slowly and therefore ensures a consistent supply of important protein building blocks. In addition to its high-quality ingredients, the 55 also shines with its many different and delicious flavors, which provide plenty of variety.

Thanks to its high-quality protein matrix made from milk, whey and soy protein isolate, the 55 has a high protein content of up to 55%, an increased biological value of 126 and thus contributes to an optimal protein supply for the organism.

In addition to its high-quality biological protein content, the 55er is characterized above all by its low sugar content with less than 1 g of net carbohydrates per bar. The fact that the carbohydrates contained are almost exclusively in the form of polyols (= polyhydric alcohols), which have no influence on insulin secretion, makes the 55er the ideal protein bar for those who are conscious of their figure and during diet phases.

OPTIMIZED WITH THE DIPEPTIDE L-CARNITINE

As a dipeptide, L-carnitine is synthesized from the two amino acids lysine and methionine and is mainly found in meat. Vegetarians in particular should therefore ensure that they get enough of it, as a vegetarian diet only provides little L-carnitine from food. L-carnitine plays an essential role in the energy metabolism of our cells and acts as a receptor molecule for activated fatty acids in the cytosol and in cell organelles such as the mitochondria. Long-chain fatty acids can only be transported through the mitochondrial membranes when bound to L-carnitine.[1] When choosing L-carnitine, however, there are major differences in quality that must be taken into account, as L-carnitine is not the same as L-carnitine.
